Technical FAQs
The software is available in two variants, namely.-
1. The original Excel macro version
2. .Net version that supports attachments and UTBMS codes
The Excel macro version is ideally suited to users who have low speed connections (56kbs or less) to the internet and or comparatively old PCs such as those purchased new prior to 2004.
The .Net version supports additional features such as attachments and UTBMS codes (see for an explanation of these codes). In contrast to the Excel macro version the .Net version will be enhanced as required by the IG in response to user requests.
The Feesable Document Repository is configured to work with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 or later.
For the Excel Macro version of the FOL
This will run on any PC purchased prior to 2004 when the processor would have been a Pentium 4 or lower and probably running Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000. The application is best viewed on a monitor with 1024 x 768 screen resolution. For lower resolution monitors the application can be viewed by adjusting the Excel 'Zoom' menu option.
For the .Net version of the FOL
This will run on any PC purchased since 2004 when the processor would have been a Pentium 4 or higher and running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Again the application is best viewed on a monitor with 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
For the Excel Macro version of the FOL
Any internet connection will be adequate.
For the .Net version of the FOL
Any internet connection where the speed is 56kb/s or higher
Access the ‘Control Panel’ and select:
· On XP – ‘Add or Remove Window Components’ then select ‘Change or Remove Programs’
· On Vista and Windows7 – ‘Programs and Features’
Look to see if listed in the installed programs. Alternatively, download it from the Microsoft site shown below. If the Framework is already installed the download will stop and advise you it is already installed.
Microsoft .Net Framework, version 1.1 or higher.
Ask your IT support team to install it or provide you with the software for a self install *

Source a CD from Microsoft *

*Your company may have a security policy in place that prevents you downloading this file. If so, refer the matter back to your IT Dept.
The FOL submits fee invoices via the internet. Your PC must have standard access to the internet. The FOL may not connect to the internet if you use special configuration files or a proxy server(s). Where this happens seek assistance as follows.-
- Follow your internal IT Support procedures
- Check below for further assistance
- Send an email to [email protected] describing the problem including screen shots where possible. Your email will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt.
Please note that over 90% of all software issues are fixed by installing the latest Office Service Release (SR). For more information please see the Microsoft Office Download page.
The Feesable software has been installed in your "C./Program Files/Feesable" directory. Vista and Windows 7 users will need to grant Read and Write access to the Feesable folder and all of its subfolders and files.
